Calvin Powell is a Marriage and Family Therapist and maintains a private practice in Santa Monica,California. He specializes in Individual, Couples and Family therapy.

Originally from Chicago, Calvin attended Chicago State University where he received his undergraduate degree in psychology.  Relocating to California he received his

Master's Degree in Clincal Psychology from Antioch University, located at the time in Marina Del Rey. Calvin has experience in a broad range of clinical settings.
 
Working with the Department of Children and Family Services and the Probation Department. he has extensive experience dealing with individuals and  families having

a host of behavioral, emotional and social problems. He has also supervised social workers and trained them in case-management. 

Additionally he's worked with the seriously mentally ill in a Partial Hospitalization environment. He also has experience working with victims and perpetrators of domestic violence.
